4.1 How Content Is Produced
Content is prepared by our editorial team using a combination of independent research, publicly available data, industry knowledge, local market observation, and editorial judgment. Some content may be drafted, summarized, expanded, or illustrated with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools and is subject to human editorial review. AI-assisted content may nonetheless contain inaccuracies, and it is published subject to all disclaimers in these Legal Notices.
4.2 Opinions
Rankings, comparisons, scores, ratings, matrices, characterizations, and recommendations reflect the subjective editorial opinions of Charlotte Luxe Living based on the information available at the time of writing. No content creates a brokerage relationship or agency relationship of any kind.
5.2 Fair Housing
We support and comply with the federal Fair Housing Act, the North Carolina State Fair Housing Act, and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. All content is presented without regard to, and is not intended to indicate any preference, limitation, or discrimination based on, race, color, religion, sex, handicap or disability, familial status, national origin, or any other class protected under applicable federal, state, or local law. Neighborhood, school, demographic, and lifestyle descriptions are provided for general informational purposes only and must not be interpreted as steering or as a statement about the suitability of any area for any protected class. Buyers are encouraged to independently evaluate any area against their own criteria.
5.3 School, Tax & Boundary Information
School assignments, district boundaries, ratings, tax rates, assessment values, HOA dues, zoning, permitting requirements, and flood or environmental designations change frequently and are provided as general reference only. Construction cost figures, renovation budgets, build timelines, permitting durations, material pricing, and design recommendations are general illustrations only and vary substantially by site, scope, specification, labor market, and jurisdiction. They are not bids, estimates, proposals, or contracts, and no contractor, designer, or supplier referenced on this Website is bound by them.
You should consult a licensed attorney, CPA, financial advisor, licensed real estate broker, licensed general contractor, licensed engineer, and/or licensed architect, as applicable, before making any decision.
6.1 Interactive Tools
Any calculators, comparison matrices, decision tools, quizzes, or scoring features are simplified informational aids that rely on assumptions and user-entered data. Their outputs are estimates only, are not personalized advice, and should not be relied upon for any financial or contractual decision.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on this Website infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification through the contact channels made available on this Website that includes: (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location (URL); (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf. We will investigate and may remove or disable access to material claimed to be infringing, and may terminate access for repeat infringers. 9. Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Charlotte Luxe Living (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use the Website.
9.1 Information We Collect
- Information you provide: email address and any other details you voluntarily submit through newsletter signup or other forms.
- Automatically collected technical data: IP address (which may be truncated or anonymized by our analytics providers), browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen dimensions, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, session duration, approximate geographic region derived from IP, and interaction events such as outbound link clicks.
- Anonymous engagement data: we record aggregate, non-identifying interaction events (for example, which editorial resource links are clicked) together with a randomly generated per-session identifier. This identifier is not linked to your name or email address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookie Policy below.
We do not knowingly collect government identifiers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, health data, or other sensitive personal information.
9.2 How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website;
- Measure traffic, engagement, and content performance;
- Respond to inquiries and correction or privacy requests;
- Send editorial or marketing communications where you have opted in;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
9.3 Legal Bases (where GDPR applies)
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of: your consent (analytics, marketing communications); our legitimate interests (site security, aggregate measurement, editorial improvement); and compliance with legal obligations.
9.4 Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may disclose information to: service providers and processors who host, secure, analyze, or deliver the Website and our communications; professional advisors; a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale; and governmental or judicial authorities where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where necessary to protect rights, property, safety, or to investigate suspected violations.
9.5 Service Providers We May Use
Categories include web hosting and content delivery, database and storage infrastructure, analytics and measurement (including Google Analytics), and email delivery. These providers process data under their own privacy policies and, where applicable, data processing agreements with us.
9.6 Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Aggregate and de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.
9.7 Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. You transmit information to us at your own risk.
9.8 Children’s Privacy
The Website is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
9.9 Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Because there is no industry-standard response to browser “Do Not Track” signals, we do not currently respond to them. Where required by applicable law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
9.10 International Users
The Website is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
9.11 Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
11. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA-CPRA and Similar Laws)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
- Access or obtain a copy of your personal information (portability);
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or targeted advertising;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information;
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing);
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights;
- Appeal a denied request, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or your state attorney general.
11.1 California Notice
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. In the preceding twelve months, we may have collected identifiers, internet or network activity information, and inferences drawn therefrom, for the business purposes described in Section 9.
11.2 Submitting a Request
Requests may be submitted through the channels made available on this Website. We will verify your request using reasonable means, which may include confirming control of an email address, and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization.
12. Accessibility Statement
We are committed to making this Website accessible to the widest possible audience and strive to conform substantially to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we do not warrant that every page or third-party component is fully conformant at all times.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please notify us through the channels made available on this Website with a description of the issue and the relevant page, and we will make reasonable efforts to remediate it and to provide the information in an alternative accessible format.
13. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
13.1 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Charlotte Luxe Living, its owners, parent and affiliated entities, officers, directors, members, managers, employees, contractors, contributors, editors, licensors, suppliers, or agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, property value, or anticipated savings, arising out of or related to: your access to or use of, or inability to use, the Website; any content, error, omission, inaccuracy, or outdated information; any decision made or action taken in reliance on the Website; any third-party company, product, service, link, or transaction; any unauthorized access to or alteration of data; or any interruption or cessation of the Website — whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, warranty, statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not the Released Parties were advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of the Released Parties for all claims arising out of or relating to the Website shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00) or (b) the total amount you paid to us, if any, for access to the Website in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
13.2 Release
You release the Released Parties from all claims, demands, and damages of every kind arising out of or connected with any dispute between you and any third party referenced on or linked from the Website.
13.3 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: your use of the Website; your reliance on any content; your violation of these Terms or applicable law; your infringement of any third-party right; or any information you submit.
13.4 Assumption of Risk
You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risk arising from your use of this Website and any information obtained from it.
14. Governing Law, Arbitration & Class Action Waiver
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Website are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and, where applicable, the Federal Arbitration Act.
14.2 Informal Resolution First
Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us in writing with a description of the dispute and requested relief, and to negotiate in good faith for at least thirty (30) days.
14.3 Binding Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website shall be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, before a single arbitrator. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. This provision does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access, or from bringing an individual claim in small claims court.
14.4 Class Action & Jury Trial Waiver
You and Charlotte Luxe Living agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. To the extent permitted by law, both parties waive any right to a trial by jury.
14.5 Venue
To the extent any claim proceeds in court, you consent to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
14.6 Time Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or related to the Website must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arose, or it is permanently barred.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Severability
If any provision is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
15.2 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. Waivers are effective only if in writing.
15.3 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
15.4 Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, labor disputes, utility or internet failures, hosting provider outages, cyberattacks, or governmental action.
15.5 Headings & Interpretation
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. “Including” means “including without limitation.” These Terms shall not be construed against the drafting party.
15.6 Entire Agreement
These Legal Notices, together with any policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Charlotte Luxe Living regarding the Website and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings.
15.7 Notices & Contact
Legal, privacy, copyright, accessibility, and correction requests may be submitted through the channels made available on this Website. Charlotte Luxe Living is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.
